During my internship at Skyline Construction, I gained hands-on experience in construction project management,
working directly with project managers, architects, and subcontractors. This role provided me with valuable
insights into the construction industry and strengthened my skills in project coordination, communication, and
technical software applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Created and maintained comprehensive procurement schedules to track long-lead items and ensure timely delivery of critical materials
- Assisted in organizing and building Requests for Proposals (RFPs), supporting bid processes and subcontractor selection
- Collaborated with project managers to coordinate subcontractors, helping align schedules, scopes, and site logistics
- Assisted as a communication bridge between architects, owner's representatives, and trade partners, contributing to issue resolution and project clarity
- Participated in site walks and inspections, observing construction progress and verifying compliance with design, safety, and quality standards
- Participated in weekly meetings with building owners and project stakeholders, contributing updates and gaining exposure to high-level decision-making
- Managed RFIs and Submittals for assigned projects
- Utilized Procore for field coordination and document control, Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting, and Bluebeam and the broader Microsoft Office Suite for markups, documentation, and communication
